ACDEHSA members are responsible for directing county environmental health or public health services programs delegated by Arizona Department of Health Services and the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality.
The mission of ACDEHSA is to advance and improve public environmental health for the citizens of Arizona by serving as a liaison between environmental health professionals, providing a forum for cooperation with industry, supplying necessary information to policy makers and promoting quality training and education in the field of environmental health.
Major areas of involvement include food service, public accommodations and pool safety; on-site wastewater system approval and oversight; air and water quality; vectorborne & zoonotic disease control; and environmental nuisance abatement.
